Parents and practice
At lessons, I set practice points and goals. Parents help their child repeat the practice points at home. To do this, parents must attend lessons and take notes. Eventually, music students can practise on their own, but in the beginning, the Suzuki Method relies on the mutually-supportive triangle of parent, child, and teacher.
Essential Information
I teach adults and children. Lessons are held in my studio in Headington at the All Saints Church House. Children in my program have a weekly private lesson and attend group lessons as well.
If you are looking for a piano teacher for your beginner child, please note that I am a Suzuki Method teacher and have a waitlist for private lessons. For children aged 3-4, there is room in my small group on Mondays at 2pm; please get in touch if interested (christine@oxfordsuzukipiano.com).
Recordings
My students should only listen to the recordings by Seizo Azuma.
Pianos
I can share a voucher for a £500 discount from Mark Goodwin Pianos—please contact me for this.
Pianos need expert care—Gavin is my technician for tuning and more.
Footrests and benches
Children need proper seating—here’s the bench I use in my studio.
Children also need their feet supported—click here for one option.
